After I was hooked up for judging the Vienna Air King I’ve planned, with my friend Nadine, to do this trip by bike… Our bags for the weekend were brought by some friends so we just packed our backpacks for the essential things during 3 days…a good friend of mine has joined us from Munich center and so we were on the way to Vienna… or better called: the big dining…
The Vienna air King was massive, I can tell. The jumps were judge and concerning the wind issues it was really scary… some hard face plants were done also by some top guys…damn, don’t need to watch crashes… but… nobody get hurt seriously… YES.
The FMBA Event went down on Sunday at 2° Celsius… haha, mostly the guys ride in t-shirt… style is everything…
building up my bikes for the season, I’m so stoked and happy about the stuff… not all of them are ready, but check out the pics… looking forward to finish my fleet…
Canyons Gran Fondo was awesome. To be honest, I didn’t expect so many people and exhibitors… What a weekend… Especially the Torque tours were lots of fun and the XC Eleminator race rocked… haha, except the german organization by BDR sucks, these guys still don’t know how to treat athletes and switch timetables in weather issues… whatever, racing is life…
I’m looking forward to see you in Riva del Garda for the 2012 Bike Festival… In cooperation with Ergon and Canyon we will offer test rides! I’ll be the coach, so get you down there and don’t forget your sunscreen, it’s gonna be hot…
At last years Saalbach FREERIDE Festival, my good ol’ friend SE did a great video of the whole week including the FREERIDE Camp we’ve coached with “dierasenmäher”, Richie Schley and I.

Every Year the FMBA has their judging clinic… so this years workshop was held in Munich at ISPO’s sport exhibition. 12 judges (former athletes, pros and people from the bike industry) had a great come together to perfect the judging system and discuss new rules…

it’s been a pretty busy month… The biggest bikeshow “Eurobike” has been a few weeks ago…
I’m so stoked to had such a great time… met a lot of nice people, old friends, talk to mostly everybody and had lots of signing seshs with friends…
For next year there will be some changes cause I will switch a few co-sponsors…Not a big deal but I want to reach new goals…

Just a week after Eurobike the Red Bull district ride was back in Nuremberg/Germany. You can’t imagine how big it was… More than 62 000 people were screamin’ when the best mtb freeriders ridin’ down the course which was massive… It wasn’t easy to judge a big event like this, but a new judging system developed by the FMBA rocks… I would say, best and fair ever. check out the vid:

it’s been not a long time that I’ve told you that I had a surgery and all is well again…what a bummer…new problems on the same knee implicate a new surgery… still recovering but in a good mood;)

By the time I had my first knee break the Canyon catalog shooting was going on with my team mates Rob J and Stefan Herrmann. Damn that I’ve missed it… BUT… later, Greber, Reumi and me went to Livigno to take some hot shots for it…hopefully it wasn’t too late;)
The big Canyon Oakley Freeride Jugendcamp was waiting right after Livigno…so we went straight to Leogang to spend a whole week with 108 kids in age between 11 and 16… YES, seems like work… you’re right… but in the end, it was worth it… Thanks so much to all kids, riders, coaches and Rob J for beeing a part of it…

…after the Jugendcamp I’ve planned a trip with my friend Bird to Whistler. Schley was organizing a camp which I could have coached with him… after my diagnostic from the doc this was all cancelled…
My friend Wittmann was organizing this huge & massive media event… Suzukis nine knights was the place to be. The Wildkogel in Austria present this amazing mood and landscape… I was planned to judge the contest on saturday right after the media week of riding, fiming and shooting… crazy, it starts snowing by minus 3° celsius…summertime ?!?!?
